Paste. Mark. Send.

  1. Bring everything

Paste a screenshot with Ctrl V (⌘ V on a Mac), drop in a photo, or open a PDF.Open a screenshot, photo or PDF, or share one to MarkUpX from your gallery. Then add more photos and screenshots, beside each other or on top of a PDF page, and arrange them however makes sense.

  2. Mark what matters

Arrows, boxes, notes, numbered steps, highlighter and pen. Blur or pixelate anything private before you copy or export it.

  3. Send it on

Copy it straight into a chat or email with Ctrl C (⌘ C on a Mac), or downloadShare it to a chat or email, or save a PNG or a PDF of every page.

MarkUpX has nowhere to send your pictures

Screenshots are full of names, numbers and messages. Here is exactly what happens to them.

Nothing is uploaded
Pictures and PDFs are opened and drawn by your own browser. MarkUpX has no server to send them to.
Drafts stay on your device
Your work saves itself in your browser’s storage. To keep a copy elsewhere, save it as a .markupx file.
Blur that stays blurred
Copied, PNG and PDF results contain the blurred pixels, not the picture underneath. A .markupx file is the editable original, so its blur can be undone: to share, send the copy, PNG or PDF.
Works offline
Once you’ve opened the editor, it keeps working without a connection, and you can install it like an app.
No account, no ads, no tracking
There is nothing to sign up for, and this site runs no analytics.
On Android
The app has no internet permission, so it can’t upload anything. It asks for your location only if you choose to add coordinates to a note. Drafts can be part of your phone’s own Google backup, if you’ve turned that on.
